Highlights
- Dr. Cate Heine is a research fellow at the Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis, University College London.
- Prof. Kiran Garimella is an Assistant Professor in the School of Information and Communication at Rutgers University. His work includes an article in Nature on viral generative AI content in India.
- Shomik Jain’s recent work with his advisor Prof. Ashia Wilson points to problems and inconsistencies, including racial biases, when using generative AI for surveillance, such as in home security.
- Prof. Weizi Li is Assistant Professor in Computer Science at Memphis University.
- Eric Liu was a co-lead for the 2024 Technology and Policy Hackathon. Previously, Eric Liu and Ashley Peake, also a Hammer Fellow, were on the winning team in the housing category for the 2023 hackathon, focusing on housing inequality.
- Dr. Manon Revel is a Postdoctoral AI Research Scientist at Meta, focusing on AI and Democracy.
- Arnab Sarker was recognized for his excellence in teaching and curriculum development with the Summer & Fall 2023 IDSS Teaching Assistant Award.
- Dr. Erin Walk is a postdoc at the Polarization Research Lab in University of Pennsylvania’s Annenberg School for Communication. Her work “focuses on ways in which the internet has impacted traditional forms of political expression and attitude formation”. (MIT News profile)
- Prof. Manxi Wu is an Assistant Professor at University of California, Berkeley, in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Her work focuses on game theory, multiagent learning, and smart cities – with many applications in transportation, including ride sharing, electric vehicles, and infrastructure.
